About Us
History of Command
Command Transportation was incorporated in 1997 and has grown at an average of 60% since its inception. With sales topping $150 million in 2009, Command continues to add value to both large corporations and small business ventures trying to get off the ground.
Formerly known as DND Express, the company was originally owned and operated by Danny Zamost and John Cameli. In 2005 the company was purchased by industry icon Paul Loeb and the entire team was renamed Command Transportation. Loeb, the former owner of American Backhaulers, had been out of the industry for 5 years when he made the decision to once again build a powerful, service orientated transportation and logistics industry leader. As many industry veterans know, American Backhaulers was the fastest growing freight brokerage of the 80’s and 90’s. For more about Paul, please read his bio.
